About Edustria High School
Brief History of EDUSTRIA High School
In the latter part of 2018, a group of like-minded educators from the Far Eastern University (FEU) and the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) started to convene and later decided to partner in establishing a senior high school that will prepare students for immediate employment right after graduation. Preparatory efforts were exerted in the early months of 2019 which culminated in the establishment of EDUSTRIA Incorporated. Eventually, on 7 August 2019, Edustria was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to do business under the name and style of EDUSTRIA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. The initial offering was the senior high school (SHS) academic track with three strands: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) and the General Academic (GA) strand.
Aligned with its primary objective of enabling immediate employment for its SHS graduates, the governing board chose to locate the school within or near a technopark where many manufacturing companies operate. After due consideration of several feasibilities, the board chose to locate near the LIMA Technology Center (owned and operated by the Aboitiz group), specifically at The Outlets at Lipa (TOL) in Lipa City, Batangas. TOL is a well-known lifestyle and retail community mall within the LIMA Estate.
Soon after, the board also decided for Edustria to offer the junior high school program with special curricular emphasis towards Science, Technology and Engineering (STE). Both the junior high school and senior high school programs were granted initial permits-to-offer by the Department of Education (DepEd) Region IV-A. Consequently, the school renamed itself as EDUSTRIA HIGH SCHOOL and officially started operations in SY 2020-2021.
The logo combines the elements of education (school in dark grey), and industry (stylized roofline in teal). The door in the middle represents how Edustria links students and industry through the right education. Starting from the big “Edustria” name, entering the school through its main door, then ending in industry, the eyes are drawn-in in an upwards direction, moving forward from the foreground into the background. The flag on the schoolhouse invokes nationalism and affirms Edustria’s commitment to nation-building by producing work-ready graduates. The use of the encompassing shield reflects a sense of security and strength against challenges. The logo interchanges the colors so that education is in dark grey and industry is in teal. This reinforces the idea that Edustria and industry are intertwined.
