Edustria High School (Edustria), a joint venture educational offering from the Far Eastern University (FEU) and the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.), has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with AboitizLand, Inc. to formalize the opening of its first campus at The Outlets at Lipa, Batangas. Edustria opened its doors for its pioneer batch of students this August 24, 2020 for Senior High School for school year 2020-2021. Junior High School is scheduled to open October 5, 2020.

Located at The Outlets at Lipa, a premiere lifestyle and leisure destination at the entrance of the world-class LIMA Estate in Lipa, Batangas, Edustria’s main objective is to provide industry-relevant education that enables its students to achieve meaningful careers, economic upliftment, and life aspirations. Edustria works together with the local and multinational companies in the LIMA Estate to ensure that its students are work-ready and have the best possible opportunities towards success. By engaging its industry partners, Edustria is able to provide a dynamic study environment where students learn through classroom discussions, practical hands-on exercises using the most modern computer-based laboratory equipment and tools, and a comprehensive work immersion program. Through these, Edustria trains its students in the necessary technical and soft skills, and helps them develop the personality traits and work values that serve as the foundation for a meaningful and stable career.

Since Edustria offers enhanced academic strands (STEM, ABM, and GAS), its students are capable of immediately pursuing a career after they graduate. After spending their time in the workforce, Edustria’s graduates can also choose to seamlessly earn their college degree at either FEU or T.I.P., without any entrance exams and with free bridging classes if needed.

Accessible via public transportation passing through the national J.P. Laurel Highway, Edustria’s facilities include air-conditioned, multimedia-equipped classrooms, and Wi-Fi internet hotspots around the campus. The school also operates learning and other support facilities such as a fully-stacked library, a guidance and counseling center, and a medical clinic. Additionally, in Edustria’s immediate vicinity are various retail shops, restaurants, service providers, and athletic facilities, creating a vibrant school environment.

Present during the MOA signing were Dr. Michael Alba, Edustria Chairman and FEU President; Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz, Edustria President and T.I.P. President; Juan Miguel Montinola, Edustria Treasurer and FEU Chief Financial Officer; Angelo Lahoz, Edustria Assistant Treasurer and T.I.P. Senior Vice President; Rafael de Mesa, AboitizLand First Vice President for Business Operations; and Eduardo Aboitiz, AboitizLand Vice President - Head for Industrial and Commercial Business Units.

"More than producing a competitive technology-based workforce, Edustria is a nation-building venture that realizes the value of cultivating and harvesting the potential of the Filipino youth and the local opportunities available for them," commented the Edustria Board Members in a joint statement.
